Cereal Killer Cafe

It seems that LinkStreet in the Bullring is the place to be. Not only is it the only home of Not Dogs but it is now also the home of the only non-London branch of Cereal Killer Cafe (CKC). When I found out CKC was coming to Birmingham, I was overjoyed to have a piece of London in Birmingham. I used to love cereal when I was younger, as I had a dairy obsession (crazy how things change) and wondered if CKC could fuel my nostalgia.

Well, if I wanted nostalgia, CKC was the place to get it. The branch is adorned with 90s paraphernalia, which took me right back to my childhood. Rugrats playing on the TVs, Spice Girls posters, Trolls in the cabinets and even a Lion King duvet cover that I had as a child. There was also a mountain of cereals on the wall for customers to choose from. But I picked something off the Cereal Cocktails list.

I went for "Did I Tell You I Was Vegan", which contained Oreos and Reese's Puffs and I paid a little extra to have it with coconut milk. Like all the cereals at CKC, it was served in a clear Pyrex bowl and the milk came in a mini milk bottle that matched. The cereal was good and was a very large amount, which meant I was on a sugar high for the rest of the day!

Overall, I felt that it was nothing special because I could easily create what was being served at home and for the fraction of the price. However, if I am in town and need a bowl of cereal or have a couple of hours to spare before catching a train then I would definitely head here and pay the £5 for a bowl of cereal. Otherwise, you can forget about it! I found the menu overwhelming and difficult to find which cereal was vegan, which is why I choose this particular cereal cocktail. I think if you are a lover of cereal and have a few favourites already then this is the place for you.
